CLARITY Deputy Director Prof. Alan Smeaton presented a talk entitled Education and Research: Exploiting ‘The internet of everything’ at the launch of Wholeschool on Thurs 11th Oct at IBM Offices in Dublin. Wholeschool is an innovative Internet Software company, specialising in the development of online resources for Education. Prof. Smeaton spoke about the work undertaken by CLARITY Undergraduate Intern Sinead McKeon, who developed two sensor-related modules for primary and secondary level students.These modules introduce students to the weather and environment, sensor technology, electronics, the concept of measurement, collecting and manipulating data and simple programming.
