Cathal Gurrin (CLARITY Collaborator) was recently attending the ICMCCA 2012 conference in Bangalore, India as a keynote speaker, where he spoke on the Information Retrieval Challenges in a world where lifelogging becomes the norm. The talk addressed the technical challenges of lifelogging as well as the benefits and risks of living in a world of extreme lifelogging. By all accounts, the talk was very well received. ICMCCA is bi-annual conference that provides a forum for researchers, academicians, faculty and students to ameliorate their understanding in the filed of multimedia processing an its applications. There was a special emphasis on real-world impact of technologies at this conference.
