Previous CLARITY intern accepted onto IBM Extreme Blue Program
Submitted by bkelly on Fri, 05/03/2010 - 13:41.Kenneth O’Brien, one of last year’s CLARITY intern students and a final year CSI student in UCD, has recently been accepted onto the IBM Extreme Blue Programme.The Extreme Blue program is IBM's premier internship program for top-notch students pursuing software development and MBA degrees. Once selected into the program, interns will become part of a team working in one of the 14 Extreme Blue labs worldwide.
CLARITY at Grids of Tomorrow Seminar

The “Grids of Tomorrow- Powering Ireland the Smart Way” Seminar was held in the Crowne Plaza hotel, Northwood on Tuesday March 2nd. The seminar was broken into two separate sessions, session one which focussed on “Smart Grid Infrastructure” and session two which focussed on “The Growing Significance of the Customer in the Smart Grid”.

CLARITY PI receives DCU Presidents Research Award

Professor Noel O’Connor, a CLARITY PI based in DCU, received the DCU presidents Research Award.These awards are presented annually to researchers who have excelled in the areas of Science and Engineering and in Humanities and Social Sciences.
CLARITY researcher comes joint first at UCD EMPS Speak

Luke Conroy, a CLARITY PhD student based in UCD, came joint first at the UCD EMPS speak competition, with his presentation entitlted "Neuroscience's next top model".
In this competition, PhD students are asked to present their research as if to 15-17 year old secondary students.
