Research Masters position in the area of wearable and wireless sensor networks

Position Summary

A Research Masters position is available in the area of wearable and wireless sensor networks.  The project involves collaboration between the Adaptive Sensors Group in Dublin City University (http://www.dcu.ie/chemistry/asg) and Realtime Technologies (http://www.realtime.ie).  The position will involve the integration of novel sensor technologies with the SHIMMER™ hardware platform to develop physiological sensing solutions for health and sport.   

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within an innovative multidisciplinary team.  He/She will be based in an internationally recognised research group in DCU, part of CLARITY: Centre for Sensor Web Technologies (www.clarity-centre.org) with the added support of an industrial partner, Realtime Technologies, who are a leading provider of electronic manufacturing and design services.

Applicants for the position should have achieved at least a 2.1 in an undergraduate Mechatronics Engineering, Electronic Engineering programme, or related discipline.   He/she will be highly motivated, with an interest in wireless sensor technology to improve health and athletic performance.
