As part of Innovation Dublin, Smock Alley Theatre on Lower Exchange Street in Dublin will host an event on the 25th October which will showcase some of the innovative research currently happening in a number of the SFI funded Centres for Science Engineering and Technology (CSETs). During the course of the evening, which will be open to the general public, the audience will get to hear about the current world-class research happening in Ireland in bite-sized chunks.
The format of the presentations is inspired by other formats like Pecha Kucha and the Ignite series, and researchers will present their doctoral work in a series of concise, rapidly paced talks consisting of 3 slides of precisely one minute each. Essentially, each presentation is a PhD elevator pitch, and will open up current Irish research to a wider audience.
CLARITY, SBI and CNGL are co-ordinating the 3rd CSET Thesis in Three evening event where students from the SFI funded Centres for Science, Engineering and Technology (CSETs) will showcase their doctoral research in the form of rapid-fire presentations on the 25th October in Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin 8.
