Kenneth O'Brien

Ken is currently studying for a B.Sc (Hons) in computer science in UCD. He will begin his final year in September 2009 His internship is a continuation of work on HeyStaks (social search ) under Dr. Maurice Coyle and Dr. Peter Briggs from a previous internship in UCD CASL. During the academic year, Ken works part-time as senior systems administrator at NIBRT. He is a member the Systems Administrators' Guild of Ireland, a student member of the ACM and former head administrator of UCD Netsoc.

Ken's areas of interest are web development, networking and systems administration. His research interests include social search and user interface design.
