Dr Bridget Kelly

Dr Bridget Kelly is the CLARITY Education and Outreach Officer. Bridget has a BSc (Hons) Industrial Microbiology and PhD in Industrial Microbiology from UCD. She has  postdoctoral research experience from Ireland, Australia and Canada, where she gained much first hand knowledge of the skills required for academic research. Over the years she has taught a variety of science related topics at many different levels, from primary school students to Masters students.  She has experience in EU Framework programmes,  and was a part of the EU Framework 6 project "SAFEFOODS", through Teagasc. She has always been interested in the communication of science to everyone, and is an active member of the Alchemist Cafe in Ireland. She recently completed the MSc in Science Communication in DCU, where her dissertation related to science outreach in Ireland.
