CLARITY Thesis in Three

The Ginger Man pub in the city centre was the venue for the inaugural CLARITY Thesis in 3 competition on Wednesday 26th May. From about 8pm until 10pm, sixteen of CLARITY’s PhD students concisely presented their research in three slides over three minutes to an audience of about fifty people, which included judges Claire O’Connell ( journalist), Steve Gotz (IP manager for CNGL) and Greg O’Hare (CLARITY PI). Throughout the event all of the research happening within CLARITY was covered in an innovative and interesting way.

Congratulations to all who took part in the competition and special congratulations to the winner Sarah Hughes, CLARITY PhD student in DCU (pictured above during her presentation), and runners-up Greg May, CLARITY PhD student in UCD and Anthony Schoofs, PhD student in UCD.

All present agreed that it was a great event, and are looking forward Thesis in Three II.
